SHORT NOTICE will be perfomimg live @ Hammond's Bar on Friday 4th July. SHORT NOTICE duo / trio play 'Easy Listening ' jazz as well as other easy listening material.

Doors open @ 7:30. As well as being entertained you will be able to enjoy a hot buffet type meal all for a very resonable £8.00, payable on the night. There will be a veggie option available.

So what could be a better way of ending a stressful week than by relaxing in Hammond's, whilst being fed & entertained.

I hope many of you will take this opportunity to meet up again & support the club.

Please contact Sarah @ the club or myself on 020 8287 7713 to reserve your place.

Robbie may well be drawing the 200 club for May & June, so you don't want to miss the chance of hearing your name called up as the £1000 winner!!!

Sounds fun! Unfortunately Colin`s Kim is due to be induced that day, so we might be a bit busy looking after some of our grandchildren.

Another great evening's entertainment @ Hammond's The food provided by Gary was first class & SHORT NOTICE's performance derserved a bigger ordience. The number of supporters apart from myself was zero, which was a great shame.

As well as supporting the team on the pitch, I feel we need to support the social functions that are arranged, not only for our enjoyment, but also to raise money for the club.

I look forward to meeting up with many of you again soon.

This is probably a reflection on the current economic climate. I would guess that most regular supporters are season ticket holders, and where that included pre-season friendlies in the past, it doesn't now. This must have some bearing on other events at the club if relying on supporters to attend. For most of us there is only a certain amount we can afford to spend on these sort of things.

I think one of the challenges the club faces is advertising and promoting events such as these especilly during the close season.

Over the last 6 weeks or so Hammonds has not really been open in the evening or weekends so any promotional posters and leaflets only get seen by those people who stop by for lunch and by those of us who attend trust meetings etc.

In addition, the forum is not viewed by that many different people and therefore there will be a lot of regular fans who do not pick up on events advertised on here.

Things obvioulsy become easier when the season kicks off as the bar is open more often and a lot more fans and occassional supporters will get to see and hear about future events.

Hopefully in the not too distant future we can use the main website to promote these kind of events but we also need to look at other way's of spreading the word.
