I see that Marvin scored for Bournemouth Yesterday. I'm not sure if it was his first league goal for the club, BUT it does mean that yet again Hampton has provided a 'real' football league player.
I also noticed last week that in the Southampton match that Darren powell was wearing the captain's armband!! Is this also a first for an ex-Hampton player being the captain of a football league team??

I think Darren was captain at Brentford, and also wore the armband at Crystal Palace a few times.
I checked out the Bournemouth website at the start of the season, and Bartley had been given the number 16 as his squad number which you would think would have him quite high up the pecking order. Although after checking this week it seems he hasn't had that many chances... also it states he is a defender! And that his previous club was Hayes FC!!!!

Marvin Bartley scored AFC Bournemouths opening goal in their 3-1 victory over Darlington, the scoreline was proberbly helped by Simon Brown being in goal for the visitors.

Just a shame Mr Barltey didn't have the decency to sign a contract when Hampton paid he a tidy cash in hand every week for a year, and then the club could have received some compensation for aiding his development.

WHY Geoff ? We don't have to mention Danny Hollands, he didn't even play for the Beavers. He, unfortunately, is one of the English casualties at Chelski. |
Mawgan, perhaps you don't remember Hampton legend Tim Hollands.
