Re Harps. I'm sad to see Harps go. I was always impressed by his dedication to team and the club- on and off the pitch, which made him a special player. I wish him all the best for the future.

At least the scapegoat for this season has now gone so we will see.
In regards to new signings Jamie.
No chance.
My point was, with the wages of Collins gone, and now Harps, surely that frees up several hundred pounds on the wage budget that can be used for new players coming in?
I believe it was more of a case of having to get back on budget following the FA cup exit. Hence I wouldn't expect to see any new signings at the moment.
The unfortunate reality is that with the sort of gate receipts and income a Club of our size can generate you will never compete on expenditure terms with some of the other clubs in the Conference South.
This makes the achievements of Dev and the squad all the more impessive over the last couple of years. Looking at the league table and given the previous experience gained I wouldn't bet against a play-off place yet.

That's true Cliff, and can anyone remember who it was who went on an excellent run late in the season last year. Yep, H&Y. Everyone knows that the play-offs tend to be won by the form team, so if we go on a great run from now/xmas to the end of the season I'd back us to still do something. But even if we don't we shouldn't be complaining. Reality was always going to hit eventually, we have been performing above ourselves for two years and at some point we need to realise that. Our fans shouldn't be demanding so much of Dev and the team.
It was really sad to here on Saturday that Harps had left the club. I would like to thank him personally for his loyal service over the past 6 years, during this time Hampton under the great leadership of Dev have enjoyed it most successful seasons in the clubs history.
I will rememnber his attacking runs down the right wing, which nearly always ended with a well delivered cross, and like a previous post Harp did a great impression as a centre forward in a cup final,m awesome.
Beat Wishes for the Future Graham Harper(lets create a Hall/wall of Fame for past players in the clubhouse).
an unbelievable servant to the club. Harps has been one of my favourite players in the team since he arrived, he just gets on with his job and went beyond the call of duty many times with his classic runs down the right. since i usually stand right in front of the main stand these were always very obvious.
we'll miss you Graham and wish you best for the future whatever you end up doing.
