He may not be blessed with the silky skills of some players but his work rate and commitment in the middle of the pitch can very rarely be faulted. His height gives us options from set peices and is useful when helping out the defence.
His ability to get stuck in, break play up and make those late runs into the box are something we miss when he is not in the side. When the time comes it will take a very good player to replace him.
Also, as Stef mentions above he was constantly talking to those arouns him against Maidenhead, Nathan in particular, and that is something we possibly lack at times.
Although i don't rate trigger much the team do seem to play better with him in the middle. He is one of the motivators of the team which is always needed and does get himself in the right positions. I dunno how old he is but think he is getting on a bit doesnt have much pace and misplaces passes a lot but he is good for the fans and gets up well in the air
I have bit my tongue over some of the postings made recently but this one I have read more than once and I'm still utterly baffled.
So you don't rate Trigger but you admit the team plays better with him in the middle of the park ?! - so what do you want someone else and for the team to be unbalanced and play worse ?
Lots of team's have completely unsung heroes who 'do their job' with little fuss. You only truly miss them when they are not playing - which in my opinion we have.
So what if he's not Usain Bolt and sprays the ball around like Ray Wilkins used to - he's proven at this level of football and I for one hope he'll be around for a while yet.
Its only my opinion mate and I have coached football for a number of years and know a lot about it you dont have to agree with it but dont just completley dismiss it as i know more than people think about football. I did say the team plays better with him and i didnt mean lots of passes stef just more than most i would say dont immeadiatley down my argument examine the players game then get back to me

Can I suggest you get some coaching yourself, in English. Punctuation dear boy, punctuation.
Anyone know how old lewis0071 is as I like to consider that in my response to posts, if he's a young'un I can let him off a bit more as we can't expect him to be as knowledgeable as us long-in-the-tooth gentlemen.

Absence of punctuation, or the misuse of it, gets right up my admittedly ample nose... No excuse for it, in my opinion.

Sorry Colin. I will now add punctuation into all of my sentences. I didn't realise I was being examined on my spelling and grammar, sorry if I have offended anyone. However lets try concentrating on the mighty beavers, thats one thing we hold in common obviously not our spelling and punctuation as yours betters mine in every way possible. We can still make the play offs Colin only seven points off it and I like yourself are not sure why fans have been getting so fustrated. The team have done it all before, unlike some of the teams above, who will fade and we will finish strongly from now on in. BEAVERS!
I'm with Mawgan on this one and hope that the bees get beaten just like they did at the mighty Barrow
Jon, maybe all your trips to Old Trafford has made it difficult for you to grasp the concept of supporting your local club.
P.S. Despite this Jon i still leave you the following in my will: 1960s Hampton v Walthamstow Avenue FA Cup, England X1 v Spartan League Floodlight Opener 1960s programmes, my Spartan League 1960s Diamond Jubilee book plus my 1968/69 Hampton Membership card

I'd prefer to trust the judgement of the FA Cup winner with 7 England caps to his name. Plus several promotions and cup wins. But thanks all the same.
