No passion, I don't remember three passes put together. Nice big gate, don't see many coming back after that. Sutton didn't have to play,we just gave it to them.
There is no excuse for players not being 'up' for an FA cup game... the ultimate disappointment for them will be if they watch the draw tomorrow and Sutton get an away draw at the likes of Leeds, Charlton, Norwich etc.
Big changes needed to save the season. Perhaps this will be the wake up call, and there is now no distraction of a cup run, hopefully Dev will get the players going again and make their way up the league table.

---- MISSING
The Hampton & Richmond Borough Midfield
If found, don't return to Dev cos he thinks he still has one...

You've heard the saying "Nature abhors a vacuum"? Obviously never considered our midfield in that, have they...?

Non potes trahere in ganea!!! And if Peter Barnes works this one out, I give up!
Does anyone know when Franny and Trigger are likely to return? We certainly appear to need them. Is there any Hampton fan out there who thinks that Collins is any good? I think he has been very disappointing.
I was not Impressed with todays performance. We seemed to be playing as if it were a sunday kick about at the park! Very Dissapointed....Changes definately need to be made!!
Why was Nathan Collier on the bench? And didn't come on as sub? He's the best (and only) midfield player we've got as Frannie is still injured. What happened to Dave Tarpey? Starring at walton !!!!!! Trigger is always energetic, competitive and enthusiastic!! Have we got a Mr. Motivator, someone who can captain the side and enthuse the others?? What has happened to Barrie and Craig T ??? How many more times are we going to gift goals to the opposition after a poor corner or hopeless free kick gives our opponents the ball? We need two or three athletic players, like Marce and Ashley or Craig T, watching out for the quick breakouts and putting in tackles and interceptions to stop them, looks as if our opponents have seen this obvious weakness/ lack of concentration and play on it hence Worcester's and Sutton's first goals. NO MIDFIELD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [One or two of our lads just are not quick enough, or intelligent enough to play at this level !!!!!!!!] Thank goodness for Craig Dundas, another cracking goal !!!!!!!!!!!! (Just for his family, specially his mum), Marcello, a lone bundle of energy (was he injured when he was subbed?) and Hodgie, who should have started surely!! and Matt, who must be very frustrated, (but who mustn't keep booting the ball up in the air all the time, but roll it out to the unmarked players at the back, or is that our only tactic to get the ball forward?) What a frustrating day, I chose NOT to go to Saltergate to watch Chesterfield smash Burton 5-2 , BUT TO WATCH Hampton reach the First round proper of the FA Cup!! My mistake !! Oh dear!!
By the way, just to 'rub salt into the wound' Staines won 1-0 away AND GUESS WHO SCORED THEIR WINNING GOAL??? YES YOUV"E GUESSED CORRECTLY, THE LEGENDARY LEROY GRIFFITHS!!!
Time for a change to the squad.... I was really hoping for a moneys worth performance yesterday! I needed some new socks aswell! Maybe a couple of the reserves should get a run out to see what changes are made.....especially looking at thier league table seems like they'd have some sort of impact.

I could use any number of words to describe yesterday's 'performance' but under the rules I set out on the forum I would have to ban myself for using them. I'll settle for passionless, spineless and a total embarasment.
We have lost all our fight, at least over the past couple of seasons we have a had a never say die attitude, yesterday was shameful, the midfield was non existant, we looked shakey at the back and if it wasn 't for Dundas we would have no bright spot at all this season, I also felt sorry for MLC, worked hard but had to feed on scraps and when we did get the ball up front the gap between the midfield and forwards was to great.
I'd bring in Collier and Trigger on Tuesday, and if Dean isn't fit give Elliott a start, Eastleigh are a big strong quick team and if we want to get anything from them then the team that turn out for us need to up their game about 50 times from yesterday's debacle.
An extremely poor H&RB performance (the second Sutton goal was poor marking/defending) but credit to Sutton who seemed to want the win more and played well and to their strengths. Their goalkeeper didn't always revert to route one and his distribution was intelligent which caused H&RB problems on numerous occasions.
What is needed is a clearout, we need a new specialist right-back with a bit of pace, sorry Harps it comes to us all. We need to persevere with Braithwaite is the side. He is a good footballer, why not try him in midfield with McDonald who unlike Collins WILL use his right foot and you have to find a place for someone who can cause chaos from any throw-in in the opponents half! What happened to Craig and Barrie yesterday? The two of them combined failed to defend the left flank and failed to produce anything in attack and I noticed they switched positions late on in the game, too late for any affect. Collier must get starts. he has the skill and presence he just needs experience. Ditch Collins and Smith, the former is a poor looking footballer carrying and playing the ball too far away from his body always on the left-side and the latter's energy flatters to deceive, he lacks the necessary pace for his game, is often not in position to receive a pass, coming inside instead of staying wide right and lacks a trick to beat a player at close quarters. All this Nathan does naturally and he can tackle hard and actually get from box to box easily not just getting to where he wants to be that second too late! MLC also takes up poor positions, at corners instead of doing what Yaks would do, block the keeper and be looking for the loose ball in the 6 yard box he was often the furthest man beyond the back post - who was he thinking he could outjump there- he won no headers all match? Without Dundas we would have had no attack yesterday, he alone played with the passion required. Sutton weren't good, just organised and playing with purpose and passion, how many times did their No.9 leave his foot in and catch defenders when blocking clearances? Their No.5 was vunerable, that's why he was subbed, and we didn't pressurise him enough. Big changes needed!
