Well done girl!!
Today we got off to a good start of the season winning 4-2 with Katie Foster, Sammiey Day and Steph Watson(2) scoring our goals.
We got off to a bit of a dodgy start of the game withstarting with only 10 players but the first half left a couple of gaps in the middle of the pitch which allowed then to pull a goal back every time we scored. When we hit the changing rooms at half time the spirit was still high even if some of the team was aching and in pain.
We came out of the changing rooms for the second half with a clear mind and Steph back on the pitch (after being late leaving work-not her fault)looking to get a win from this game! Well we looked like a diff side, with people in diff positions we were passing more and making use of the space. Steph scored from a very good corner from Katie to put us 3-2 up and then not long after a hand ball in the box by one of the players gave us a pen! Everyone walked away and Karen kindly volounteered her daughter to take the pen. Well exicuted pen put us 4-2 up, that is how it stayed without me being tested in the 2nd half.
So overall a good performance by the girls for our 1st game of the season! Hope for same result next week =] Well done girls!
