Sorry but the team that played against Maidenhead last season wasn't the reserves. Yes it had Inman, Francis, Atiase and Blackshaw in it but the starting line up included Matt Lovett, Marcello Fernandes, Ryan Lake, Lawrence Yaku, Elliot Braithwaite, Steve Tyson and Nana Badu who were all members of the first team squad. Subs that came on were Dean Wells (in goal i know), Graham Harper and Kieran Knight. Also remember that Maidenhead were truly terrible that day, it was the final day of the season they had nothing to play for and our 'squad players' were trying to play their way into the playoff line up.

I'm sorry, but I stand by my point. Maybe one or two of the reserves when placed in amongst the first team players would fit in without a problem but there is no way you could play more than 3 in the team and expect to win against a BSS level team. Just because they are trouncing teams in the Suburban League who as I've said are players who are NOT GOOD ENOUGH to get in to STEP 4, 5 and 6 FIRST TEAMS doesn't mean they are ready for the challenge of playing amongst top level non league players. I've played suburban league, I've played Hellenic and Combined Counties (step 5). The jump in the standard is MASSIVE. Get over it, the players and management have been good enough the last two seasons, I'll let them prove they are still up to it.

Your right.....Your right that it is NON-LEAGUE! No body said to drop the whole team and bring in the reserves, but being to both 1st team and reserve games I'm sorry to say the reserves play better football! That's a fact! There's definately more than 3 players that would be eligable for the 1st team.
Are we forgetting what reserves are?!....They are there to come through to the 1st team....especially when the 1st team are not performing adequately.
Let me ask you a question..........So when will the reserves be ready to be brought through......and what will be the difference then from now?....

Yes, against vastly inferior opposition. That's a fact! There's definately more than 3 players that would be eligable for the 1st team.Of course, they are all eligible, doesn't mean they are good enough.
Are we forgetting what reserves are?!....They are there to come through to the 1st team..Yes, when the manager feels they are up to it...especially when the 1st team are not performing adequately. That may be true, but it very rarely works like that. The reserves are a place where promising youngsters can be kept at the club to see if they are capable of playing senior football. It is also a place for injured first teamers to get match practice as part of their recovery.
Let me ask you a question..........So when will the reserves be ready to be brought throughWhen Dev decides that they are.......and what will be the difference then from now?....They'll have proved it to the management over the required period of time, ticking the boxes that Dev feels are nessercary.

You can bleat and moan as much as you like, I trust Dev's judgement and he will play people when they are good and ready. The firsts have struggled with injuries and form this season, but when all are firing you watch them go.
