Blue Square Announce “Manager of the Month” Awards for October

“Stags Boss Holdsworth Keeps Up Play-Off Chase With Unbeaten Run”

Mansfield Town manager David Holdsworth has won the Blue Square Premier "Manager of the Month" award for October. The Stags consolidated their position in the play-off places with an unbeaten month. League victories over Forest Green, Altrincham and Eastbourne were followed by a hard fought home draw with last season’s third placed side Histon. Holdsworth’s team also progressed to the First Round Proper of The FA Cup with a second success over Altrincham during the month.

In the Blue Square South the award goes to Alan Devonshire of Hampton & Richmond Borough. The former West Ham star led his side to an unbeaten month in the league including victories over Weymouth and Maidenhead United.

Liam Watson from Southport has won the award in the Blue Square North. The Sandgrounders moved into top spot in the table with three wins and a draw during the month. The highlight was a 2-0 away win at fellow title chasers AFC Telford United.

How about that!

Everyone was so upset about the Sutton game that they missed the fact that the players had put together a decent run in the league. I trust that we will be letting the Rich & Twick know!!!!!!!!!
