Scored 2 goals for Walton and Hersham in the FA cup yesterday. Is this a transfer or dual registration?

Dual registration makes sense to allow him to get some games under his belt.

Seems strange though as he would then be cup tied and not available for us in this
years competition.

Given the injury situation so far it would have been a decent option to have.

Nice to see that he scored a couple, I was impressed by his work rate when I have
seen him.

I could be wrong, but I think you are only cup tied if your team loses and goes out?

Either way it looks like a permanent transfer from afar.

Daul registration according to the Walton and Hersham website.

Not sure about your understanding of the rule for players being cup tied though?

You're wrong.

You can play for one club only in any one season in the F.A. Cup.

Yes that's correct Captain. I believe that over many years there has only been one exception to this rule granted by the FA. Can anyone with a very long memory remember? A clue it was not non league.

It was Manchester United's FA Cup match with Sheffield Wednesday in 1958 after the Munich air crash  . The FA allowed Utd to play newly signed players who had already played in an earlier round for another team.

I think it's in another competition where it only applies if you've been eliminated. Maybe a European one.

Back to Tarpey though, if he needed games isn't that what the reserve team is for? Okay the standard may not be as high, but he wouldn't get cuo tied and he'd have a better chance to bang in some goals for a confidence boost.

I really am shocked that we dont have dave in our squad, if not playing for the first team, every time he played for us he looked really good and always as if he would beat players which he did while always chasing back and defending. To show his good form he's also gone and scored a hat-trick for walton at the weekend.

I agree with Jamie and Joe, why isn't he in the squad ahead of several of the current first teamers.
The question of being available for the Hampton FA cup run ??????? doesn't apply does it, as the team without Dave Tarpey, 'crashed out' to Sutton yesterday !!!! Very poor, tired, lethargic performance, bit like the Worcester debacle !!

Tarps is cup tied as he played for Walton earlier on in the season. He's also not available for the Trophy.
