Four of the best goals I ve seen at the ground and playing the ball on the floor for a change - lets hope they keep this way and we will keep on winning.

Just got it off the Braintree site, 4-1, for anyone sitting at home chewing the sofa arm (like me) -- Get in!

Hampton played really well tonight. We passed the ball well, with less "long-ball" play than usual and we dominated the game for long periods . Maybe our season is going to change direction if we keep playing like this ... Well worth the admission fee !

4 -1 , but it could have been 6 or 7 with the post and cross-bar coming to Braintree's rescue !

best i ve seen us play all season by a long way. great passing & movement.

still cause for concern at the back in my opinion though, i think we could really use harps back. i'm sure they will begin to work together better though, dev will sort it out.

As the Knob End sang(only slightly tongue in cheek) "It's just like watching Brazil" Yak's goal a contender for goal of the season already. Get in and roll on Saturday, more of the same please. :-)

When did I become part of the 'Knob End'? :)

What about Marcello? I think (unlike the rest of the 'Knob End') that it was more or less meant. Fantastic goal.

Either way a superb second half and I look forward to more of the same against Weymouth.

Best performance of the season by a country mile! Great to watch. Let's hope our season starts here. Craig Dundas was immense again. Yaks figured more than usual - what a good goal! Barrie Matthews showed a great piece of skill to beat his man and drive in the far corner. All in all - top drawer. The only downside - John McDonald's not a right back and he was responsible for their goal. Was Harps unfit? Disappointing attendance at under 300. Excellent Burger :)

you're right about jon, but everyone knows the reason he's included in our squad and it isn't his playing abilities. i spose if you want the massive advantage of the long throws you recognise that defence might not be as watertight.

i'm still undecided which is a bigger plus but harps is unfit anyway so it wasn't a decision dev had to make last night.

I'm sure they were good goals but it doesn't really mean a lot unless you let us know when your first game was as there have been a lot of goals scored at Beveree over the years.

Having not visited the Bev for a 1st team game for a while it nice to hear that the Knob End is still going strong.
Gibbo, Jon the Manc, Colin and Stef must be the last of Knob End founder members. Perhaps there should be a park bench with their names engraved on it behind that goal. :D

Tis true, most of the Knob End have been 'ejaculated' (ooooerr) from the ground, but all four of the originals were there last night for the first time in a while, it's normally me that lets the side down. Although the replacements are a decent group and there are a good few more of us now than there were in 1994.

What did happen to that bench that we use to sit on when those cold Tuesday night Middlesex cup games started to send us all asleep?

Like Ian Savage's free kicks. Or the Warren Williams wonder run...
